    Donations and collaborations

    The Ecological Pilot Project for Giant Panda Ex-situ Conservation (No. 3 Project of Base) is now under construction to increase panda conservation by giving them reintroduction training and finally releasing them into the wild. A total of 3,000 mu land is needed for the project, of which, 1,100 mu will be acquired in the near future, costing RMB 300～400 million. The project not only includes building facilities such as an edible bamboo planting area, simulation cave and environment for giant pandas, and monitoring tower, but also involves research in areas important to reintroductions.
